Motorists in Olympia, Wa. were confronted with a shocking sight after two gurneys tumbled out of the back of a coroner’s van–one of them with a cadaver strapped to it.
Traffic had to be diverted at a busy intersection Monday afternoon after a van heading back to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office unintentionally unloaded its cargo into the middle of the road junction.
During the drive, the rear door of the van somehow opened causing the two gurneys to fall out. The gurney carrying the dead body ended up in an intersection while the other one rolled away and came to rest in a parking lot about a block away.
