Video captures the moments a thief was attempting to steal a car on Detroit’s west side!

The incident happened near Lodge and Chicago. A white Chrysler model vehicle pulled up and that is when one person jumped out. Video captures the suspect attempt to make entry and steal the Jeep. He later waves at his getaway driver to come and help. Car thefts have been on the rise. According to the Detroit Police Department’s crime stats, 9,761 vehicles were reported stolen in 2022.
